FanFaire Foundation's "ADVENTURES in SCIENCE & MUSIC" concert series with the GREATER SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA directed by Dr. ANGELA YEUNG continues with a science-themed music Program that includes Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor by ALEXANDER BORODIN, the great Russian composer who was also a renowned Professor of Organic Chemistry), JOSEPH HAYDN's, "Clock" Symphony, BRIAN BALMAGES' Petite Symphony: Elements (Air, Water, Earth, Fire) and OTTORINO RESPIGHI's Ancient Airs and Dances. Association of California (San Diego Branch) Concerto Competition
in
concert with the GREATER SAN GREATER SAN DIEGO COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA
directed by Dr.
ANGELA YEUNG.
10-year
old MICHAEL CHEN (left) and 13-year old ADRIAN LIU (right) will play
the 3rd movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 and
the 1st movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20,
respectively, in their first performance with an orchestra.
Mozart's Symphony No. 41 "Jupiter" rounds out the program.
