Maureen O'Flynn, soprano
in recital
Early in 2001, Maureen O'Flynn had occasion to showcase her bel canto voice in recital at the Tuesday Morning Music Club in San Antonio, Texas. She sang a beautiful programme of French, Russian, and Irish songs and gave the thrilled and very appreciative audience a generous encore that she began with an opera aria and ended the way she always closes her recital programs, with a song her father sang in recital in his day.

Now you can download two of these recital pieces in MP3 format and listen to them over and over again. Or if you wish, just listen to an excerpt from each piece (in Real Audio format).

Ms. O'Flynn ends her 2001 performances with a company debut performance of her signature role, Lucia, in Minnesota Opera's production of Lucia Di Lamermoor and begins the new year with another signature role, Gilda, in Verdi's Rigoletto at her San Diego Opera debut in January 2002.
