"Probably before I was born,
I was hearing Bach!"
In
this clip ANGELA HEWITT takes us back to her childhood years in Canada,
painting a pretty picture of a precocious little girl learning Bach
under the guiding hands of her own parents who were both musicians,
even speculating about her possibly pre-natal exposure to Bach's music.
As she looks back, she is proud to credit her father and her teachers
as the great influences and source of inspiration as she was growing
up, the living presences who helped lay the foundation for what has
turned out to be a brilliant career; the legendary GLENN GOULD, the
other Canadian who set the bar for playing BACH in his time, understandably
was only a distant presence.
One thing is sure, you can't get away from viewing this clip not at
least half-convinced that BACH is somehow encoded in her DNA.
