MUSIC AND WOLVES BEETHOVEN concerto no. 5 on BEETHOVEN DISCOGRAPHY CALENDAR | |||||||
In
this video clip which opens with an excerpt from the triumphant third
movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, Hélène
Grimaud eloquently communicates her deep affinity for Beethoven and
the intricate thought process that circumscribes her interpretation
of his music, and from which she ultimately comes away all the wiser
as an artist and a human being - with a greater degree of self-knowledge
and awareness of the world. Thus a great piano concerto such as
the "Emperor" becomes for her an "incredible teacher,"
from which she learns incredibly life-sustaining lessons that make her
both an extraordinary artist and a "philosopher at the piano."
The album "Hélène Grimaud - BEETHOVEN (concerto no. 5 "emperor" / piano sonata no. 28) was a FanFaire - Deutsche Grammophon CD Giveaway.
