The Rossetti String Quartet members, who named themselves after the Pre-Raphaelite Dante Gabriel Rossetti, come from a distinguished background as soloists and chamber music players. They have an abiding love for the string quartet literature and its presentation in a natural and personal style. Though based on the classical/romantic tradition, their repertoire also encompasses contemporary music as this, their first CD recording, bears out.
