RICHARD LEECH at the

Richard Leech made his debut at this major opera house as the lecherous Duke in Verdi's Rigoletto on September 15, 2024 to rave reviews. He returned in November 1995 to perform two roles: Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly and the title role in Gounod's Faust.

Last October 1997, during the company's 75th Anniversary Season, he reprised the role of the Duke in a new production of Rigoletto.

He is shown here in the role of Faust, with bass Samuel Ramey as Méphistophélès. Below is a chronology of his performances in San Francisco.
