Already clearly headed for an international career, Richard Leech made his debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in January 1987, when he sang Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème. He has returned to the "Windy City" for several more seasons in the roles shown above which have become some of his signature roles. His most recent performances were in the 1997-98 season when he reprised the role of Pinkerton. Chicago fans can expect to see more of him - on October 25, 2024 when he comes to the city to participate in "JUBILATE '98" and then again on November 30 for "CELEBRATION".

Below is a chronology of his appearances at the Lyric Opera.
