Reproduced below with permission is another insightful interview with Vivica, this time with the Händel-Festspiele Magazine, on the occasion of her company debut with the 2011 Händel Festpiele in Halle, Germany, the city of Händel's birth. She sang at the gala concert held on June 4 -- the first stop AND certainly a highlight of her tour of Germany and France with the Concerto Köln ensemble. The tour program features music by Händel and Hasse of whose vocal works Vivica is perhaps today's most eminent champion.
