Set and lighting designer





Working closely with Stage Director Sharon Ott, Kent Dorsey achieved stunning effects with one stage set and the clever use of lighting. His involvement with scenic and lighting design began during his student years at the University of California, San Diego where he obtained a degree in computer science. He also studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts and subsequently earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in scenery and lighting from Temple University.

Mr. Dorsey was resident scenic and lighting designer at the Old Globe Theater from 1979 to 1981 where he continues to freelance, with more than 25 productions to his credit among which are: Coriolanus, The Cocktail Hour, and The Way of the World. He has designed both scenery and lighting for several productions of the Berkeley Repertory Theater and forThe Tempest at the Folger Theater in Washington, D.C.
DEBORAH
DRYDEN


Costume designer





Deborah Dryden, has designed costumes for many theaters throughout the United States. She is currently resident costume designer at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival with which she has been affiliated for over fifteen years. She has designed costumes for Carmen, Le nozze di Figaro and the world premiere of Claudia le Gareat the Minnesota Opera, for Sheridan'sSchool for Scandal at the Hong Kong Repertory theater, and for the inaugural production ofThe Tempestat the newly rebuilt Geary Theater in San Francisco.

Ms. Dryden is the author of a bookFabric Painting and Dyeing for the Theaterand her fabric designs have been seen at the Guthrie Theater, the Mark Taper Forum and the Smithsonian Museum of American History and in exhibitions nationwide. She is a professor of costume design at the University of California, San Diego.
