She
may be today's foremost BACH specialist, but she is more multi-faceted
than listeners would be inclined to think. Both her concert and
recording repertoires prove
that she is no prisoner of BACH. Indeed, she probably has one of the
widest repertoire among today's pianists. And as she states in
this video clip, it is a point she would like her audience not to forget.
The spirit of adventure that partly informs her art has also led her
to launch her own summer
music festival - on the shores of Italy's Lake Trasimeno
in the heart of scenic Umbria where she now lives. Also in this clip,
she shares the excitement of playing host and performer to an international
audience who flock in increasing numbers to the Castle of the Knights
of Malta where she concertizes with artists of her own choosing.
